Rob Fahey, General Manager – Holiday Inn Express Newcastle
Responsible for the day to day operations of the hotel, Rob has over 14 years of experience in the hotel industry gained from working in front office, night audit and food & beverage for InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG).
Prior to joining Pro-invest Group, Rob was Front Office Manager at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, in addition to two short term secondments to InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto and Crowne Plaza Melbourne providing operational and leadership support to the Front Office teams.
Rob spent a year working as Senior Guest Experience Manager (F&B) at Crowne Plaza Newcastle in 2010 and was later seconded through IHG to work with the London Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London in 2012 managing the accommodation block within the Athletes Village that housed countries such as Jamaica, St Kitts & Nevis & Vietnam to name a few.
In 2013, Rob was fortunate to be seconded again to InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa where he collaborated with the Director of Rooms to ensure the efficient running of the front office operation.
